Book Summary
Mahamudra and Dzogchen are the two highest-level practices of Tibetan Buddhism. They are systems which strip away much of the cultural elaborations, which often are not amenable to Westerners and present the pith of Tibetan spirituality. Because of this, many Westerners are very interested in developing their practice in view of these systems. Naked Awareness serves to explain and relate Mahamudra and Dzogchen, which though direct, are sometimes very difficult to understand. Gyatrul Rinpoche is well-known in the West and is able in his commentary to address the Western practitioner.
