This is the only English translation of three crucial works by the most controversial Buddhist master in the history of Tibet. Dolpopa (1292-1361) emphasized two contrasting definitions of the Buddhist theory of emptiness. His view of an emptiness of other, is an enduring legacy. The fate of his Jonang tradition, which was censored but still survives is also examined. The translations are preceded by a detailed discussion of Dolpopa's life and his revolutionary ideas.
